About Us
John Davey
John first raced karts at the Tiger kart club, Western Australia in the mid seventies. Retiring after a couple of seasons of club level racing, John returned in 1992 when son, Todd was old enough to start racing. John competed in Senior National J classes until the late 90's when he again withdrew from racing to spend more time on the spanners for Todd. After almost a decade out of the seat, John returned in 2010 to compete with Todd in the Australian Endurance titles, a grueling 3 hour long race at the picturesque Raleigh Raceway circuit on the outskirts of Coffs Harbour. His ribs thank him that this is only an annual pilgrimage.
Todd Davey
Todd began his racing career at the age of 7 and competed in club level races at metropolitan and country tracks around New South Wales for a number years. After moving through the junior ranks Todd entered into senior competition and the developing category of Rotax. Todd did not compete in a title race until 2003 when he qualified 7th at the NSW State Titles at the Mt Sugarloaf circuit, NSW. From there karting moved from a social pastime to a serious sport, with Todd, John and the rest of the family chasing State and National title events around the country. With the introduction of the Rotax Pro Tour in 2009, the level of competition and professionalism in national kart racing was significantly increased. Todd took a year off from racing in 2010 to concentrate on his young son Kade with wife Anita as well as a new job. Returning at the beginning of 2011 Todd follows the Rotax Pro tour which provides the highest level of competition and exposure in the country.
